3CMT are looking for a self employed CBT instructor. (with the view of moving on to DAS)

 

Requirements:

 

1. Over 21yrs old

2. Full motorcycle licence for min 3yrs

3. Be of Good Character.

(Any motoring or non motoring offences will be taken into consideration by the DVSA) 

 

Good daily rates of pay for the right candidate.

The Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) has announced the launch of Ridefree - a free online training course that moped and motorcycle riders should complete before taking their CBT. We've tried it out and recommend it as a valuable learning tool that will better prepare you for your CBT, particularly for those new to the road. Find out more here at Ridefree

 

05 July 2020.

From 04 July we are able to offer CBT's for anyone wishing to book.

From 06 July we are able to book practical mod 1 and mod 2 tests to commence week 13 July 2020. Unfortunately at this point we have not been briefed on how we are supposed to book the practical tests and there is no information on the booking system.

 

We have set up an updating mailshot which we are sending out on a Monday. To be added to it please fill in our contact form ensuring you list age, course type and agree to be kept updated.

 

April 2020 COVID-19

We are returning to work to carry out CBT's for Key workers. Please ensure you comply with the Government guidelines. You must be able to provide proof of Key Workers status in order to attend training under this scheme.

October 2019

The DVSA have updated their guidance notes for students attending a CBT training course. Please take the time to read Prepare for your CBT

 

In particular please note the information about Highway Code knowledge:

Your trainer can stop your compulsory basic training course if your basic knowledge of The Highway Code and traffic signs isn’t good enough for you to ride safely.

 

And regarding what to wear. You should wear motorcycle boots or other sturdy footwear that supports and protects your ankles.

 

3CMT provide helmets, gloves and Hi Viz as standard. We have a selection of jackets should you not have something suitable but we do not provide footwear. If you are wearing inadequate footwear you will not be allowed to start your course.

Job Opportunity: We are looking for a dynamic person to join the team as a self employed instructor. Fully Qualified instructor preferred, we can provide training for the right candidate. You must be of good character, over 21yrs old and had a full motorcycle licence either A2 or A for a minumum of 3 yrs. Initially for CBT work and progressing on to do DAS work.

Must be willing to work weekends. Good rate or pay.

 

Update: Motorcycle training can commence from 29 March 2021 with theory and practical testing commencing from 12 April 2021

Who are we?

3 Counties Motorcycle Training has been providing high quality motorcycle and moped training since 2001 and is both Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency approved and MCIA Ride Industry Approved. We offer CBT (moped and 125cc), A2, DAS and custom courses such as Back to Biking in Hampshire, Berkshire and Surrey. Our head office is based in Sandhurst and training centres are in Arborfield and Sandhurst.

 

Whether you are passionate about motorbikes, want to commute cheaply or just need your ‘first wheels’, whatever your reasons for being on the road on 2 wheels you need to be sure you are getting the right standard of training from a team who can help you develop the necessary skills, learn the correct information and lead you through the complex motorbike licence laws.

Compulsory Basic Training. Whether you want to ride on L-Plates on a moped or 125cc motorbike or go on to do a full bike licence this is your starting point.

All instructors are passionate about motorcycles and riding. We all hold advanced riding qualifications including IAM, ROSPA and the Enhanced Rider Scheme. As well as teaching, we travel extensively on our motorbikes and do annual events such as the South West Peninsular Rally, Welsh National Rally and The National Road Rally. Many of our customers become personal friends with whom we go for regular rides with and on a few occassions each year we escort European trips.
